From refurbished coach houses and pioneering town-centre formats to new-build fit-outs and refits, we work with Starbucks franchisees and equity stores to deliver a consistent brand enlivened with bespoke elements. As one of only six approved case goods suppliers and installers, we are trusted to deliver quality manufacturing and brand specifications across the UK and Europe as the ever-popular coffee chain expands.
Global coffee giant Starbucks is recognised the world over for its branding, flavours and creative store designs.
In the UK and Europe, a growing network of franchisees are delivering Starbucks’ unmissable look and feel in restaurants, service stations, drive-thrus and other outlets.
Since 2013 we have built strong relationships with Starbucks franchise partners – including Euro Garages, SSP, Cineworld, Soul Foods and HMS Host – and delivered this high-quality, consistent branding.
We’ve been commissioned to complete more than 120 projects across the UK, incorporating each partners’ specific requirements, and delivered fit-outs and casework in their European outlets.
We’re trusted by franchisees to mobilise within a fortnight of commission and deliver projects to the latest brand specifications, adding bespoke elements to differentiate each unit.
Our clients trust our expertise, and with cost-effectiveness a priority, we guarantee value for money and robust fixtures and fittings without compromising on quality.

In a truly unique commission from Starbucks franchisee Euro Garages we were tasked with transforming an old coach house in Cobham, Surrey, into a Starbucks drive-thru with a difference.
The project included a complete strip-out and refit and the creation of a drive-thru lane and pod.
With the coach house bursting with character, the client was keen to include bespoke reclaimed elements in the design. This included a counter, fittings to complement the brick work and a timberboard ceiling.
When local building regulations ended plans to include the reclaimed roof and timber, we joined forces with the Starbucks design team and mechanical team to create an alternative design, which ensured the reclaimed look could still go ahead.
Elsewhere, we delivered Euro Garages’ first town centre Starbucks in 2019 – a compact unit in a new block in Blackburn.
With a three-week deadline before a Christmas opening, we collaborated with the designers to install bespoke timber and metalwork, including a shaped timber counter.
And when specifications in the lease led to a reduced footprint, we devised an alternative design which retained the requested number of seats.
More typically, our work with Starbucks franchisees involves five-yearly refreshes of Euro Garages outlets, or five-week fit-outs of newly built units in standard designs, complete with the casework, seating and counters we manufacture.
Whatever the commission, we prioritise brand consistency, creativity quality and cost-effectiveness.
“Thompsons masterfully converted a challenging derelict grade 2 listed building into a beautiful Starbucks drive thru. They collaborated with our in-house design team to provide unique and aesthetically pleasing solutions complementary to the history and fabric of the building. I was impressed with their quick problem-solving solutions – they completed the project in record time.”
