Our Achievements
Thompsons was founded in 2008, operating from a single unit on a business park. We have come a long way since then, moving to include our offices and workshops, executing thousands of fitouts for leading clients such as KFC, Tim Hortons, Gleneagles, Euro Garages, The Savoy Grill, Hilton Hotels and other global clients.
2008
Brothers, Matthew and Joseph Thompson establish Thompson Contracts Blackpool Ltd, targeting a client base that includes pubs, breweries, and leisure facilities.
2010
Moved premises from a single unit on a business Park to Dales Farm to include our Head Office and workshops.
2011
The business expands into new sectors, including Service Stations and Hospitals.
2012
The company extends its reach to cover Hotels as part of its portfolio.
2014
Further diversification happens when Thompson Contracts Ltd takes on projects at Railway Stations and Airports.
2016
Retail is added to the growing list of industries the company serves.
2018
Football Clubs become another customer segment the company caters to, resulting in a widely diverse client base.
2019
Matthew and Joseph Thompson decide to sell Thompson Contracts Ltd to a Private Equity with Matthew staying onboard as Executive Director to steer the future growth of the company.
2023
Matthew reacquires Thompson Contracts Ltd with a renewed focus on maintaining the company as a family business emphasising quality craftsmanship and excellence in service delivery.
Thompsons announce the launch of a new arm of their business – Commercial Solar Panels, offering customers old and new help with renewable energy solutions. Jon Kemp joins the Thompsons team as Solar Director.
