Setting an inspiring example of sustainable energy use, Thompsons recently installed commercial solar panels on the rooftop of their head office.
As part of their drive towards incorporating greener solutions within their infrastructure, the solar panel installation showcases Thompson’s commitment towards curbing carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment.
Installation
Utilising all of the available south facing roof aspects it was established that approximately 88kW worth of solar panels could be installed.
A suitable system 88kW installation was designed incorporating 2 x 40kW inverters to integrate with the existing electrical equipment.
Authorisation was sought from the Distribution Network Operator and appropriate surveys completed.
