With a reputation for providing the highest standards of service delivery for high-end clients, Thompsons was asked by Gordon Ramsay Restaurants to play an instrumental part in the creation of a new Lucky Cat restaurant – the multi-Michelin starred chef’s Asian-inspired dining brand.
Located on the 60th floor of London’s highest skyscraper, 22 Bishopsgate, with stunning 360-degree views across the City, our team was tasked with transforming an empty space into an area where diners could enjoy an exceptional, luxury dining experience.

Located on the 60th floor of London’s highest skyscraper, 22 Bishopsgate, with stunning 360-degree views across the City, our team was tasked with transforming an empty space into an area where diners could enjoy an exceptional, luxury dining experience.
Key challenges
A high footfall of stakeholders visiting the site regularly, and the fact the building was already occupied by other tenants, presented several logistical challenges for our team to overcome – including access and delivery restrictions, all while working to deliver a first-class product, to an immovable deadline.
Outcome
Our team provided a complete turnkey construction solution, including a full package of electrical and bespoke manufacturing works and installation, involving members from across our construction, electrical, bespoke manufacturing, SHEQ, logistics and buying departments. The result: the creation of a stunning setting for London’s highest restaurant, where since its launch in February, guests have been able to witness a culinary spectacle thanks to the open kitchen at the heart of the restaurant, as well as its signature raw bar.
We’ve worked on many projects across a variety of sectors and this has definitely been a highlight, with our team soaking up those breathtaking views of London while working to create a space to dine with a difference.
