As a registered charity with a high energy usage, we were approached by Cats Paws to design a system that would provide them a cheaper, sustainable energy source. Installation of solar PV will help reduce the business running costs as well as their carbon footprint.
The sanctuary work to help rehabilitate cats and provide them with food, medication and socialisation. Installation of solar PV on site will provide power for heating and lights to help support the work the charity does.

Installation
The most southerly facing roof boasts a large skylight which allows natural light into the building. We were asked to install a system that would sit around these windows thus not impacting the existing light into the building.
As a tiled roof, it was determined that an in-roof system would be the most cost effective and aesthetically pleasing. A system was designed to fit the client’s specification whilst providing the best possible yield and return on investment.

Customer feedback
We had done some research about solar panels and knew that they would help us save money on our energy costs. Thompson Solar helped us through the entire project from projecting potential monthly savings to full installation. Nothing was too much trouble- they even helped us with the export of electricity to our supplier. Good after care. We know that we can contact them at any time and they will help.
